Preliminarily, the school Sudhir Institute was a renowned Bengali Medium Co-Ed Primary School established in 1992 by Smt. Shibani Mondal and Sri Debaprasad Mondal. The school is named after Mrs. Shibani Mandal’s late father, Sudhir Chandra Bera, reflecting his lifelong commitment, to combat illiteracy and support underprivileged students.

In January 2014, this new English Medium Section was started where students of the locality, specifically, as well as others will get quality education in child friendly atmosphere right from Play Group i.e. 2 years onwards. The school follows W.B.B.S.E.
From the session 2025-2026 the school will follow C.B.S.E Curriculum and Syllabus.
